Welcome to FiberGraf Materials web site where we offer a new product reinforcement / filler that we believe will help improve a range of composite products that are produced today and perhaps lead to new materials that will help define products of the future.
Mission:
The company's mission is to manufacture and market these high value carbon / graphite fiber discontinuous material forms that will allow constructions of a new range of high performance composite materials. These new materials allow the customer to tailor end product materials performance with the unique properties they impart.
GrafMat:
The first product to be commercialized and offered in production quantities has been named GrafMat. GrafMat was chosen from graphite (Graf) materials (Mat), which is the form they take after high temperature processing. The various grades of GrafMat are a family of discontinous graphite fiber reinforcements in graphitized resins that are offered in powder type formats. We believe that the powder type format is the key to allowing these materials wide adoption into many different composite product formats. The resin bonded graphite fiber format is superior to discontinous unbonded graphite fiber as it controls the material density to concentrated form for high material loadings. The GrafMat materials described in this web site are unique materials that by their very small particle size allow precise and controlled additions in a wide variety of processes and material combinations. The resultant products are thus modified to enhance desired mechanical, electrical, thermal and friction type properties.
Resources:
Personnel in the manufacture and sale of materials have over 70 years of production and sales experience in composite materials. Their experience in years of working with high temperature derived product forms has allowed them to develop a process to offer these product formats.
The base materials FiberGraf purchases to then manufacture GrafMat grades are produced by manufacturers who have decades of experience in producing high temperature fibrous product forms. Their capacity to produce these materials exceeds millions of pounds per year.
